I love this low angle shot of a wood.
These landscape photographs are also particularly powerul, with strong contrast editing. Our front/back panes could be a landscape of a wood with a warm yellow colour wash, strong lighting and shadows. Similar to the 'Mumford and Sons' image below.
For our 8 pane digipak we will need to research further into the folk and indie genre print work style. Becki and I will individually research artists advertisment and comment on similarities and differences between panes.
We have decided the base of our digipak will be photographs taken at our chosen locations, such as Calvarly Park and will be edited on Photoshop, perhaps using the technique of overlaying images.
From our initial research we looked at Jack Johnson who uses a stylized graphic design of the artist standing next to a tree with a guitar prop, a similar style and concept to our video. The colours used were very visually asthetic with a strong yellow colour, a signifier for happiness and sunshine. Ben Howard in his album and EPs tends to use photographs for the background of his album cover also water colour paintings to fit with the indie folk genre.
We have decided for our digipack the front and back images will be one landscape photograph with the artist title and album name on the front in our chosen font and the song name list on the back.
