K&B: Audience Research

Audience research is a key part of the planning process, we need to reach our audience effectively to create a successful music video.

For our initial Audience research we are going to create an online survey using Survey Monkey, this will give us the chance to appeal to a wide variety of people and gain quantitative data in which we can analyse.

The purpose of this research is to give us an insight into peoples thoughts and feelings towards the genre of indie/ folk and to identify a specific age group in which we will be appealing to.

General audience information

Are you male or female?

Which age category do you fit in?

What iconography do you associate with folk/ indie music?

What locations would you associate with folk/indie music?

What props and costumes would you associate with folk/indie music?

What do you imagine the artist to look like?

Do you prefer a narrative based, montage or performance based music video?
