The overall feedback that we got from our pitch was positive, the design and presentation of the pitch was effective and the colours worked well to illustrate our genre. The background image of the sun set is reflective of our lighting and setting in that we aim to create for our video.
The main concept ideas were liked and the way in which we displayed them was effective, we printed out copies of our lyrics annotated with our visual ideas, this enabled everyone to visualise our ideas and relate them to the lyrics.
The treatment was also very effective in helping the audience to understand our concept, we also printed out this for them to be able to read along and follow to ensure they were clear on our ideas.
The props and locations were also liked by our audience and like us they feel that they will work well with our concept.
Our research was also effective in showing the planning process and allowing the audience to see what we are trying to create and where our inspiration is from.
One point in which was brought up at the end of our pitch was the hanging of the girls feet, this sparked discussion within the group. Some felt that we needed this shot as it is the main theme of the song and would link our concept together, as well as making our ideas clear to the audience. Others felt that this shot would be to upsetting and powerful because of the connotations to death. This made us reconsider our ideas and we have decided to keep the feet but to use a visually pleasing background and sun to brighten up the shot. As well as giving a dream like feel.
